The Team Ireland, Olympic Golf Fundraiser brought together a vibrant cross-section of the Olympic community at The K Club, reflecting the Foundation’s ongoing role in connecting athletes and supporters through shared experiences.

Played on the South Course in a four-ball scramble format, 25 teams took to the fairways, representing Olympians and members of the wider Team Ireland community.

Participation

From the outset, the focus was as much on participation as it was on competition. Across the course, the day created space for athletes and supporters to come together in a relaxed setting, offering a contrast to the intensity of high-performance sport while remaining an important part of the wider Team Ireland journey.

Competitive Edge

That competitive edge was still evident throughout. Rugby Sevens Olympian Bryan Mollen claimed the Longest Drive title, while Ronan Murray took honours in the Nearest the Pin competition.
In the team standings, Ken Lawlor and team secured first place, finishing ahead of Jamie Schmidt’s team in second, with Killester Travel rounding out the top three.

While the results added to the occasion, the lasting impression came from the connections formed across the day. With Olympians playing alongside those who follow and support their journeys, the Golf Day highlighted the sense of community that underpins Team Ireland.
